Lesson #II: Three Simple Rules in Life.
This is something I saw on my friend's wall (Facebook wall).
I found it really meaningful, and I thought you should know about it.
1. If you do not GO after what you want, you'll never have it.
2. If you do not ASK, the answer will always be NO.
3. If you do not step forward, you'll always be in the same place.

Lesson #I: The life skills that you need, you would have learned by now.
Lesson #I: The life skills that you need, you would have learned by now.
This would by far, the most important realisation that your father has gathered.
Someone once said that by the time you finished kindergarten you would have possess and comprehend the life skills necessary for life. Things like how to network, make friends, giving gifts to your friends, maintain circle of similar like-minded friends etc... You would have realised that if you treat someone really nice, chances are that it would be reciprocated, or you get invited to their circle. You also would have realised about the 6 degrees of separation, where you can be connected to anyone else via 'roughly' 6 steps away. You also would have understood the importance of friendship, and how it affects you and what you can do.
In short, it's about connectedness. Know the right people, and in fact, know a lot of people. Then internally know who is trustworthy, treacherous, intelligent, smart. If you are connected to the right person, in the right way... it opens a whole new dimension and opportunities for you. Sadly but true, knowing the right people means that people who are well connected and in power (influence, monetary or position). However, that does not mean we choose our friends this way, remember... because all men are equal... and you will still find the most sincere and trustworthy friends across all levels of society. Bear in mind that those people in 'power' got there because they have relied on others, and one day may call in your favor too... so be aware of how you manage such relationship.
Ultimately, remember to be kind to those in need, and be sincere to everyone. Build your circle of trusted friends, which may not be in your circle of influence or power. There's a stark difference...

Project 366: Drinking in office
It seems that 5pm is the official timing when most people get 'thirsty'. It's handy that we have a happy cupboard and also bottles like these lying around.
$7 a bottle.

Heart Space #61: Love Thy Faith 2
Heart Space #61: Love Thy Faith 2
Sometimes, I do have the urge to pen down some thoughts or life lessons that I went through and gathered, for Faith. This is to empower her some knowledge, in the event that I am not around or she can read in her leisure time. She does not need to go through all the long path that her parents did, only to come to the same conclusions. However, having said that, this is still by no means the holy bible or what it will be for her life, but these are some realisations that we have wasted so much of our time to reach.
For you, Faith, with love...
